When Dai Xiu’s birth day comes up, Zhang and Yuwen’s mutual attraction emerges clearly to everyone after drinking especially to Liyan. Liyan is very sick in his mind to care for his wife. So, he tells Zhang to stay at his home. Liyan attempts suicide by overdose but is saved by his friend doctor Zhang. Zhang then decides to depart their house.
